The Sleep Apnea Test

Hello, I suffered with sleep apnea for about 10 years before I decided to seek for a sleep apnea cure. If you read some of my other articles, then you already know about the stories that surrounded my actual motivation before I sought out the help. But today I am here to write about what some of the cures are and why I choose the one I did.

If you visit a nose, throat, and ear specialist, then of course you know that there are many different medical procedures that can be done, some more complicated than the others. Personally, I am not a fan of any kind of operation, unless it was going to save my life, then I become the #1 fan of that operation for obvious reasons. I have written before on how this sleep disorder can become deadly, it did some three years ago with a huge NFL defensive lineman, you football fans know who that was. Now for me, as I wrote above I by-passed on any kind of surgery.

The Miami Heart Institute

What I opted for was a sleep over at the Miami Heart Institute in coordination with my doctor in coordination with the sleep study in Miami. This set up a 1 night stay in the hospital, so far less painful than a medical procedure, right? During the sleep study, I was hooked up to multiple heart and sensor monitors for approximately 4 hours so approximately from 8:00 p.m. to about midnight, give or take. After the 4 hours or so of monitoring, the technician was convinced in my case that he had seen enough.

The great part is that the sleep study in their quest to tame or find some kind of sleep apnea cure, allowed me to experience for the next 6 or 7 hours, an incredible about of sleep by exposing me to the CPAP machine and the sleep apnea mask. When I woke that morning, I experience something that had been missing from my life for some 10 years. A good nights sleep. How tired are you? If you are reading this article than you owe it to yourself to explore every option offered to you, I hope that I can push you in that direction.

Now even though most of the benefits are often reserved for full-time employees, this does not mean that working less than 40 hours a week disqualify those benefits. Additionally equaling what someone would expect from a full-time position.

The lists of eligibility may vary, but they usually include a minimum number of hours worked per week and only take effect after you’ve worked for one of these companies for a specific period of time. So, if you are in the market for a part-time job, why not start with one of these? I have compiled a short list of some of the best part-time jobs that offer some of these specified benefits.

1) REI: Perks include merchandise discounts, incentive pay, retirement and a Profit sharing program, and a discounted travel program through the REI Adventures program.

2) Nordstrom’s: This company offers the following to all of their part-time staff; health insurance, 401(k), life, disability, and accidental death insurance, paid time off, and adoption assistance.

3) Lowe’s: All part-time employees here have access to a limited benefit health plan program, plus life, vision, dental, and disability, as well as a 401(k). They also earn 40 hours of vacation after just 180 days of service, pretty good benefits.

4) JC Penney’s: This one is unique in that anyone working fewer than 35 hours per week is eligible for their Additional Benefits Choices program, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage plus life insurance and critical illness/accident coverage. Most companies will not even entertain a program like this. But leave it to the big dogs of American business to come shining through!

So you now have some information to go out with a game plan and find a part-time job in an adequate amount of time. Having a plan for finding employment quick, should be your priority.

If you own your very own home, you know sooner than later you will have to do major maintenance work around the home. With the recession trying to wiggle its way out this latest funk, some of the heavy hitters are also taking a hit in this latest economic state. The Walt Disney Company is expecting to begin layoffs at its studio and consumer product divisions within the next two weeks. According to two people with knowledge of the matter, in the latest cost-reduction step to emerge from a company-wide review. Many times these reviews are done in order to shift some of the money being spent into other projects, maybe even other jobs.

Pixar Studios

Their studio jobs will be cut in the area of marketing and home video units and include a small number from the animation wing (Pixar Studios), said these sources who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plans had not been made public, and sometimes these things have a way of changing. The number of people who will lose their jobs is not yet known. How many jobs will be lost in each division will soon be determined. The staff reductions in the consumer products unit will largely result from attrition, as many of these jobs will not be replaced. On Wednesday, Disney began layoffs at the 30-year-old LucasArts games studio which was recently inherited along with the acquisition of George Lucas’ film company last year, as it focuses on licensing its “Star Wars” brand externally. In addition these cuts will be in the wake of the movies that are set to be released for the Star Wars series, which are going to continue in the next few years.

Disney which is headquartered in Burbank, California, started an internal cost-cutting review late last year to identify cutbacks in jobs it no longer needs because of improvements in technology, something that the company is always on the cutting edge of. Also with the growth in the recent acquisitions it has made, It is looking to reduce redundant operations that will be eliminated as a result. Disney cut about 200 people at its Disney Interactive video game last year, as the company moved away from console games to focus on online and mobile entertainment. In addition to those number an already 100 staffers have been laid off in two cuts since. The company also made cuts at the publishing unit last year when Disney moved its operations to Burbank from New York as part of a restructuring of its consumer products unit.

Well for one, coming from a family of law enforcement, and a person who truly respects the law. I will not post the picture of this criminal. By no way, shape, or form am I also making fun of this situation. This is a sad, sad day for military personnel, police personnel, and families everywhere in the U.S. as yet again, we face as a nation a truly horrific sad event.

Police reports are sketchy at best coming out of California, but they are pretty sure that the end of the Chris Dorner American terrorist scheme has fully played out. Unfortunately, it cost another officer his/her life. The results of this violent action has come to rest. The Superbowl is upon us again. More incredible funny commercials, parties everywhere. So how will you stock pile your party? How much will it cost? All good questions. I have a thought.
