The Sandy Hook Tragedy

Dear parents of the victims,

I cannot stress how much this tragedy affects me. I am truly sorry about this incident. I don’t want to talk about it because it really hurts me and I don’t want to imagine your place right now. We can all prevent another incident like that to happen. School safety is very important to me, for my teacher’s safety, my friend’s safety, my parent’s safety, and my safety. I would like for schools to have more securities around and inside the school, close all gates around the school and if gates are opened, have at least two securities in front of the gates, and have metal detectors all around the school. Get more cameras around and outside of the school to recognize any stranger walking in.

Everyone was greatly affected with what had happened. Many lives were cut short and no one would want that to happen again. School safety involves a lot of hard work: Government help, the school principal, teachers, parents, students, and money.

I appreciate my life a lot more now. Being a student, I used to take life for granted and now I learned that life is too short to be worrying about little things. I have to be more careful and cautious when I go to school. I am truly sorry about this incident.

Sincerely,
Jennifer

The Sandy Hook Tragedy – Our Lives

Dear Sandy Hook students,

Hello sweethearts! I’m Shielly, a student at Westland Hialeah Senior High, near Miami, Florida. I know about the recent tragedy that occurred at your school and express my deepest condolences, but I don’t want to focus on the negative today. I want to let you know that one person does not define everyone else or the world.

Many of you may have been confused as to why this happened and have changed your views on life. But I don’t want you to think life or the world is bad place because life is beautiful and there are kind and sweet people in this world. For example, the teachers who put their lives first to save you are true heroes and prove that there are good people with big hearts and courage out there.

Don’t look at this as a frightening experience but as an opportunity to appreciate every little thing; when you hug your family and friends, when your favorite show is on, or when you smile as bright as the sun when you get a toy or game you wanted. These little things are what make your life wonderful. So please don’t think of the world a bad place because things may happen, but it makes you live life to the fullest. I really do hope I helped in any way possible and helped you feel some positivity. Remember that we’re all here for you all and doing everything possible to make sure this never happens again. So please enjoy your life and keep in mind you have so much ahead of you and have angels watching over you. So smile because you definitely deserve to.

Thoughts And Prayers For Sandy Hook

Thoughts And Prayers For Sandy Hook

Dear families and survivors of Sandy Hook,

This tragedy not only opened my eyes but also millions of others. No one really knows what can possibly happen until it actually happens. That needs to change it seems like something is clouding everyone’s vision we need more safety. As the seconds, minutes, pass by horrible things are happening such as deaths. Future scientists, artists, singers, dancers and many more intelligent students were killed. Who would’ve thought that the good bye the parents and husbands and wife’s said to their children or teachers was the last goodbye.

It’s sad that it took this to touch people’s hearts. It shouldn’t be that now we walk in school with fear in our hearts. If school isn’t safe than what is? From now on we wouldn’t have to worry about that we are improving our safety system. We are going to do something about this we are going to make a change. We Westland Hialeah high school students care about you and you are not alone we are all in this together.

Sincerely,
Briona Laws

The Sandy Hook Tragedy – Josephine Gay

The Sandy Hook Tragedy – Josephine Gay

Dear parents of Josephine Gay,

I’m very sorry for your loss. I hope that you are doing well because nobody expects you to do be doing good. I wish I would’ve met your daughter because the picture that I saw she looks like an angel. No, she is an angel!

The reason I’m writing this letter to you is because I want you to know that I care a lot about what happened to your daughter. Even though I know people are just going to forget about what happen to your daughter and the others I’m sure that for a fact that I wont, because when I see your daughters picture it just breaks my heart that an innocent little girl with a beautiful soul is gone.

I hope that when you read my letter and the others written, that only tears of joy come out because we just want to let you know how much we care about you and Josephine. Also I want to let you know that it will get better somehow, someway. I just know it will!

Sincerely,
Arlen Campos

The Sandy Hook Tragedy

The Sandy Hook Tragedy

Dear Families of the Sandy Hook victims,

My heart aches for the fallen staff members and innocent children that passed away in this horrifying tragedy. Having to cope with the after math is unbearable. One thing this event has helped me realize in my life is to never take life for granted. To appreciate and cherish all the moments I spend with my family and loved ones.

I’m a sophomore student and every morning when I wake up I tell my family I love them. The reason being is because I never know when it will be my last day. As a student, worrying about my school’s safety should be the last of my worries. This deadly rampage has me questioning my safety at school and whether or not my life’s at risk.

This memorable event has caused awareness Nationwide about school’s safety and gun control. Now President Obama has targeted new gun control laws. Focusing on stricter gun laws is a good start in change that has been brought to the President. I’ve lost a good and loving friend of mine to gun violence. So this idea makes me feel some sort of relief.

As to the teachers that have passed away, they are truly soldiers. Risking their lives to protect their students is an amazing Act of Valor, I hope it never becomes an after-thought. I now appreciate and respect teachers and staff so much more. Once again, I am sorry for your loss. Keep your heads up. As I like to say, through every dark night there’s a brighter day.

Sincerely , Antonela Sequeira
