How Do I Get Into Shape?

Most people want the answer to the following question. How do I get into shape? I know that you think it is easier said than done. To some degree I will not disagree with you. However, you do have to ask yourself, how serious are you about this task? Losing weight goes hand in hand with getting into shape, the two must be perfectly choreographed and the final piece is an incredible result that will leave you feeling better than you ever had for sure.

Getting into shape is essential if there is to be quality of life, most of us, and I include myself, live life in a funk and rarely pay attention to anything that we eat. When actually what we eat, is what makes us feel the way we do. Greasy fast food, heavy carb diets, are all that you need to help you feel the worst that you probably ever have. Kids can get away with living life in the early years by cheating on some of the fast food places. However knowing what I know, I have begun to modify the orders that I place at fast food places when we do attend.

Simple modifications like apple juice over soda, apple bites over fries, can take the negative load over some of the choices. However, my great accomplishments are going to the fast food places, and avoiding the food altogether. Learning how to get into shape, helped pave the way for me and it will for you too. Dear mother and father of Emilie Parker,

I cannot even imagine the amount of grief and sadness you must be experiencing at the moment, and I know that words can do nothing more than add salt to your wounds of rememberence. But, on December 14th 2012, my life was forever changed. When I found out about the incident. My comfort zone in school safety was damaged, and my respect for teachers grew as well so much so.

The incident at Sandy Hook gave me awareness that schools are really not that safe after all and we must do everything in our power to assure the safety and the comfort of the students in it. I think that although it was a tragic thing that happened, America has learned from it. I am sorry that your sacrifice had to be such a great one. You lost an angel!

This unfortunate event has also helped me gain an even larger respect for teachers. To think that not only do they work hard to teach us and help us have a better future each and every day, but they would also without hesitation risk their own lives to guarantee our future and safety. For this they should be highly respected and honored each day.

This event has affected every single American’s heart and mind, we will try our best to ensure that this incident will not repeat itself for the sake of not only the students, parents, and teachers, but for the sake of our country. Mr. And Mrs. Parker, your daughter and the rest of the Newtown victims will be remembered forever.

Dear parents of Josephine Gay,

I’m very sorry for your loss. I hope that you are doing well because nobody expects you to do be doing good. I wish I would’ve met your daughter because the picture that I saw she looks like an angel. No, she is an angel!

The reason I’m writing this letter to you is because I want you to know that I care a lot about what happened to your daughter. Even though I know people are just going to forget about what happen to your daughter and the others I’m sure that for a fact that I wont, because when I see your daughters picture it just breaks my heart that an innocent little girl with a beautiful soul is gone.

I hope that when you read my letter and the others written, that only tears of joy come out because we just want to let you know how much we care about you and Josephine. Also I want to let you know that it will get better somehow, someway. I just know it will!

Dear Families of the Sandy Hook victims,

My heart aches for the fallen staff members and innocent children that passed away in this horrifying tragedy. Having to cope with the after math is unbearable. One thing this event has helped me realize in my life is to never take life for granted. To appreciate and cherish all the moments I spend with my family and loved ones.

I’m a sophomore student and every morning when I wake up I tell my family I love them. The reason being is because I never know when it will be my last day. As a student, worrying about my school’s safety should be the last of my worries. This deadly rampage has me questioning my safety at school and whether or not my life’s at risk.

This memorable event has caused awareness Nationwide about school’s safety and gun control. Now President Obama has targeted new gun control laws. Focusing on stricter gun laws is a good start in change that has been brought to the President. I’ve lost a good and loving friend of mine to gun violence. So this idea makes me feel some sort of relief.

As to the teachers that have passed away, they are truly soldiers. Risking their lives to protect their students is an amazing Act of Valor, I hope it never becomes an after-thought. I now appreciate and respect teachers and staff so much more. Once again, I am sorry for your loss. Keep your heads up. As I like to say, through every dark night there’s a brighter day.

Twitter Strikes Again!

These stories never cease to amaze us, this is why we read them, republish them and share them with the world over and over again. This story is not any different. Twitter as a social animal has solved so many cases, with the help of the re-tweet. Chalk up another for the social service. Justice has been serve, cold dish or not, served. Here is a short post on what exactly happened courtesy of “Yahoo news”.

The criminal mind can be cunningly brilliant—or stunningly foolish. You can safely put Emma Way of the U.K. into that second category. She’s the aggressive 21-year-old motorist who allegedly hit a cyclist while out for a drive in the city of Norwich, fled the scene, and bragged about it on Twitter on Monday. “Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier—I have right of way he doesn’t even pay road tax! #bloodycyclists,” she tweeted.

Her admission was soon re-tweeted more than 300 times, inspiring angry responses and the nickname “twit and run girl” by fellow Twitter users. They also re-tweeted her brag to the social-media savvy Norfolk police department, who wrote back, “we have had tweets ref an RTC with a bike. We suggest you report it at a police station ASAP if not done already & then us.” Though Way deleted her account, the ball kept rolling. The cyclist, Toby Hockley, a chef who had been taking part in an organized ride, came forward, and police said they tracked down Way and are progressing with an investigation.

On Wednesday, the police department told Yahoo! Shine there was “no further information at this time.” Way later apologized on ITV News, saying “It was a spur of the moment thing and I’m sorry,” adding, “I don’t want any cyclist to think I have hatred against them.” Her lawyer said during the interview that she’d been interviewed by police but that no arrest had been made.

Dear community of Sandy Hook,

I might not be a man of many words but the tragedy that happened at Sandy Hook is just Disastrous. Nobody can replace the lives of those innocent young children that lost their lives in this horrible tragedy. This made me focus so much on safety in every aspect because this is a serious problem that we now know can happen in schools, then most certainly this can happen anywhere.

Sometimes I wonder if we’ll ever be safe in school. I’ve had a lot of thoughts about this and I’m considering becoming a police officer, to improve and help make my community a safer place. If I do I will be active in schools giving them tips on how to help keep intruders out and make schools safe.

Also by acquiring certain technology crime prevention tools that will very much improve the safety of schools. If this ever happened to me I have to be honest I don’t know what I will do, but all my love goes out to the community of Sandy Hook, and the people touched by this tragedy. God bless you all.

Dear: Parents & Family

I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your child in the shooting that fateful day at the Sandy Hook elementary in Newtown, CT. I am unable to imagine the immense pain you go through each and every morning since the tragedy. Just the thought of losing someone so close and dear to me such as a cousin, or a child brings me to collapse from my tears.

Currently as a student at Westland Hialeah Senior High School, I was mortified when I first found out about the shooting in which killed twenty students and six teachers, and staff members. I can’t come to imagine sitting in a class like room like any other day and having something so tragic like that happen.

It is a shame that the loss of twenty-six people is what led to the conclusion that we have to increase school security. Thank you for your time in reading this letter and may God help you cope with your days of sorrow. Let God bless their souls and may they rest in peace.

A Letter To Sandy Hook

When I found out about the incident that happened I was in shock. It made me think, I am safe in my own school? Are the other students safe? It’s unbelievable how someone can walk into a school unsuspected and there is no security around to check for ID or ask why they are there?

This event not only changed me as one individual but the whole country and the way we are keeping our children safe. How can we add more safety to secure us or any other schools? I am a former student and I think about what if that event would have happen in the school that I was at?

I think that everyone is more cautious when it comes to children’s safety. I ask what are the communities doing every day to improve our safety? I don’t know how it feels to lose a loved one. It must be hard for you to continue on with your life knowing that they are gone and I hope this letter gives you the courage and strength to wake up every morning.

Even if they are gone they will remain in our hearts and memories. We must all come together protect the ones we love, we must keep them safe. As a student I am scared that this could happen again in my school or in other areas as well. That is why there has to be a new way to keeps kids safe in school.

When I heard the terrible news from my family and friends I was shocked. I was stunned how one person can cause horrible damage in a school full of innocent people. To think those kids were not expecting such a situation where their lives were on the line, and teachers who were willing to sacrifice their lives for kids, make me notice that there are some good people in this world, and that not everything is lost.

Hopefully schools will realize that protecting their students should be a priority, and not a second choice. When I went to school on Monday, two days after the incident, I was more aware on what school security does and how their lives are affected. Somehow, I don’t feel as confident as I always felt in school and neither do my teachers. December 14, 2012, was truly an event to remember and to think of when trying to reduce crime, public shooting, and ideas on how to make the world a safer place for people.

Dear families of Newtown, CT,

My heart goes out to all of you. I know what it is like to have someone in your life taken away from you. Waking up each day just wishing you could just see them one last time. I remember the day it happened and watching the horrible tragedy on the news, this had such a huge impact on me. I really couldn’t hold back my tears. I want to express these words in the best way that I can and how what happened has changed my views on how valuable life is and how I will no longer take things for granted.

As a student I am scared knowing we may not have the necessary protection that we need. We come to school to learn, to make ourselves proud of something we have accomplished, and not to be worried about our safety. We need to have better security so kids want to go to school instead of stay home, hide, and be scared.

This was not meant to happen; no one has the right to take a life away. I know I will do everything possible for this not to happen again. The lives that were lost in this horrendous act will always be remembered.
